The view from the bedroom was really good, what a pleasure to just sit there and watch the sea, the boats and mountains by the window every morning and evening. How about the breakfast! Likely the best breakfast buffet I've ever had in a hotel. There was so much choice! Even I as a vegan didn't know what to pick anymore. There seemed to also be many glutenfree options. I'm honestly very impressed by the breakfast, especially considering it's only a 3-stars hotel. The breakfast area was also very spacious, so even at rush hour it didn't feel too hectic or crowded. Finally, the staff was great and helpful when we needed anything! This seems to be the norm in Scandic hotels and in my opinion that makes this chain quite reliable and always makes me want to book Scandic again. (I swear they are not paying me to write this, I've just had multiple very good experiences with them, their service just always seems impeccable to me).

Our superior twin room had a great view overlooking the water (much better than overlooking a noisy parking lot). We were given a quiet room at the end of the hall as requested. We couldn't hear any noise through the wall from the adjoining room. The bathroom was small but well-designed with decent counter space, so it didn't feel small. The shower was good with steady pressure and only slight changes in temperature. The breakfast was good (though there were no pancakes or waffles). There were restaurants and a bakery fairly close by. The hotel had a little "store" where one could buy snacks and yogurt. There was a 24-hour desk. We thought the price was fair for the great location.

Looking at the map, it seems like the property is off a bridge somewhere but once I was there, it is actually very near to the centre of Svolvær. We drove and there is parking outside the hotel but it is paid parking (not expensive). The hotel was lovely. You'll be able to look out at the mountains from almost every area of the hotel. The breakfast view was my favourite! Breakfast spread was great too. I got to make my own waffles at the waffle station. There's also a coffee/tea/hot water machine which you can use at any time of the day for free. The staff were very helpful and friendly too.

Superb location in Lofoten. Stunning area with plenty of water (obviously). I thoroughly recommend the Eagle Safari/Trollfjord Excursion for even more fjord-tastic views. The hotel fits in well with the sophisticated, yet simple, Norwegian style in the area. The breakfast hall is a glassy structure protruding from the main building over de water of the fjord. The morning sun shines brightly over the port while you enjoy the plethora of tasty dishes, ranging from cereals and bread to waffles and warm eggs and meat.

Easy check in process. Friendly staff. Clean, comfortable room with a view of the harbor. Room darkening shades for proper sleep despite daylight in June. Nice linens and soaps/lotions/shampoo/conditioner. Breakfast spread with something for everyone, refreshed throughout the breakfast window. Water refill station, good coffee, and variety of juices. Quick walk across the bridge into the main area for evening activities, easy location for planned excursions.
